Lambing Season, process painting #10
Lambing Season, process painting #10
€275.00
This painting is made using agricultural sheep-marking spray paint which flies out of the cans inconsistently unlike regular spray paint. These process paintings specifically reference the process of testing paint flow. Similar to farmers marking their sheep, the marks are made with an uninhibitedness, for function rather than aesthetics.
Farmers paint on their sheep for ownership but they also paint symbols to indicate certain characteristics of each sheep. At this time of year you often see dots painted on sheep which may indicate how many lambs a ewe is carrying.
